Bosch Adds Variety of Component Products in China and Expands Production Capacity

Shanghai - German auto parts supplier Robert Bosch Group will add new products and expand capacity in China.

Peter Pang, president of Bosch (China) Investment Co., Ltd., said in a company statement: “We will invest 850 million euros (91.9 billion yuan) in China between 2008 and 2010.

In June of this year, Bosch built a new 83,000-square-meter component manufacturing plant in Dalian, Liaoning Province, and its components will be supplied to both China and overseas markets. The plant will produce aluminum and cast iron calipers, parking brakes, rotors and master cylinders.

The company said: "Dalian will be one of the world's largest production bases for Bosch Chassis Systems."

In addition, Bosch is expanding its automotive electronics portfolio. Bosch Automotive Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has added three production lines this year to produce parking auxiliary sensors, airbag control devices and light mixing technologies.

This year, Bosch also acquired Shenzhen Weining Industrial Co., Ltd. (Weicon), but the acquisition amount has not been announced. The company develops, manufactures and sells diagnostic equipment.

In May, Bosch's new headquarters in Shanghai began construction. This 28,631-square-meter headquarters is located in Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Economic Zone. The 9-storey building will have an area of 80,000 square meters and will be put into use in 2010.

In 2007, Bosch's sales in China was 18.3 billion yuan (US$2.68 billion).

Filter Softener Valve

These control valves play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of water treatment systems.
Filter valves are responsible for controlling the filtration process, which removes impurities and particulate matter from the water. They can be further classified based on their control methods, such as manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic.
Softening valves, on the other hand, are designed to remove hardness-causing minerals like calcium and magnesium from the water. They can be categorized based on the number of tanks controlled by a single valve, such as single tank or multi-tank systems.
Additionally, softening valves can be classified based on the automatic regeneration method used. This includes time-based regeneration, meter-based regeneration, or demand-initiated regeneration.
The flow direction of the regeneration liquid is another factor that determines the type of softening valve. It can be either downflow, upflow, or counter-current flow.
The control method of softening valves refers to how the valve is operated and controlled. It can be manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, depending on the level of automation and control desired.
In industrial applications, softening valves are commonly used for treating boiler feed water. The removal of hardness-causing minerals helps prevent scale formation and improves the efficiency and lifespan of the boiler.
