Chery Quantum Qoros models will enter the European market

"Financial Times Deutschland" reported that Chery Quantum and car design research company Magna Steyr have cooperated to build Chery Quantum Qoros models and plans to start the next year. The mass production of the models was subsequently pushed to markets such as Europe, and preliminary ideas have surfaced.

Chery Quantum is a joint-venture subsidiary of Chery Auto and Israel Group holding 50% shares and establishes a partnership with Magna Steyr Automotive Design & Research, an Austrian subsidiary of Magna, a component giant. The latter is responsible for the new vehicle. System engineering development. According to the "Financial Times of Germany," Chery Quantum will produce three compact cars under the Qoros brand, and will also be targeting China's domestic market and western markets. It plans to launch the Chinese market from 2012 onwards.

Qoros new car prices will be between 1.1-1.5 million euros (9.48-12.93 million yuan). Under the presiding design of Magna Steyr, the design, production, and quality standards are completely standard against Europe and the United States. The new car will be built in Changshu, with an initial production capacity of 150,000 vehicles/year and will be upgraded to 500,000 vehicles/year in the future. However, the technical details of the Qoros models and the European market distribution plan have not yet been disclosed.

Magna Steyr is based in Graz, Austria. He was commissioned by Daimler, BMW and other car companies to design and produce Mercedes G-Class off-road vehicles, BMW X3, Mini Countryman and Peugeot RCZ.
