On the eve of May 1st, the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission held a news release at a double-monthly press conference. Chongqing is conducting trials of carbon emissions trading. In addition, carbon emissions trading pilots in Chongqing will be included in forest carbon trading.

Dong Xiaochuan, Director of the Resources, Environment and Climate Change Division of the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission disclosed that pilot companies in Chongqing's carbon trading are mainly concentrated in six high-energy-consuming industries such as electrolytic aluminum, ferroalloy, calcium carbide, caustic soda, cement, and steel.

In addition, Chongqing's carbon emissions trading will be included in forest carbon trading. Forest carbon sinks are forest plants that absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide and fix it in vegetation or soil, thereby reducing the concentration of that gas in the atmosphere.

Dong Xiaochuan said that the forest carbon sinks in Chongqing will mainly come from the amount of carbon dioxide that can be absorbed by new species of forest every year. Relevant local authorities have begun planting plans to provide carbon sinks for carbon emissions trading in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Chongqing and some districts and counties in Southeast Yunnan.

Carbon emissions trading is a greenhouse gas emission reduction transaction under the Kyoto Protocol to promote global greenhouse gas emissions reductions and is based on international public law. This transaction is calculated in tonnes per ton of carbon dioxide equivalent. China will achieve a goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 40% to 45% from 2005, by 2020. The National Development and Reform Commission previously approved Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Hubei, and Guangdong provinces to carry out carbon emission trading pilot projects.

Monosodium Phosphate Anhydrous

Monosodium phosphate anhydrous is a white crystalline powder that is commonly used as a food additive, fertilizer, and buffering agent in various industrial processes. It is commonly abbreviated as MSP or NaH2PO4 and has a chemical formula of NaH2PO4. It is also known as sodium dihydrogen phosphate or sodium phosphate monobasic.

In the food industry, monosodium phosphate anhydrous is used as a flavor enhancer, emulsifier, and stabilizer. It is commonly added to processed meats, cheese, and baked goods to improve texture, shelf life, and flavor. It is also used as a leavening agent in baking powder and as a pH regulator in soft drinks.

In the fertilizer industry, monosodium phosphate anhydrous is used as a source of phosphorus and as a pH regulator in soil. It is also used in the production of animal feed to improve bone health and growth.

In industrial processes, monosodium phosphate anhydrous is used as a buffering agent to maintain the pH of solutions. It is also used in Water Treatment to prevent the formation of scale and as a flame retardant in textiles.

Monosodium phosphate anhydrous is generally considered safe for consumption and use in industrial processes when used in accordance with regulations and guidelines. However, excessive consumption or exposure may cause adverse health effects, such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
