Cummins new engine new control and monitoring panel

Cummins (ship hangar location) has introduced a new control and monitoring (product library supply) panel designed to help ship operators simultaneously monitor multiple marine engines (product pool supply).

It is reported that this new C-command connection is an extension of Cummins' C-command product line, specifically designed for Cummins' quantum series QSB6.7, QSC8.3, QSL9 and QSM11 marine engines. The new system covers a power range of approximately 171-533 kW and covers the Cummins QSB, QSC, QSL and QSM engine platforms and will be extended to 596 kW QSK19 engines in the future.

When introduced, the system will be deployed in a basic system (C-command connection) and a quality system (C-command quality connection) configuration, all at a lower cost than the current market control system (purchased by the product library). This C-command system is a modular choice of tools and control panels that help ship operators protect and enhance engine operation and manage operating costs. Each element of the system is designed to be fully integrated with the engine, easy to install, and plug and play.

All components of the C command system can be used in harsh marine environments, and are fully enclosed to withstand the vibration and humidity of the ship in the main engine (purchasing supply).

The display panel is also equipped with flexible display of data. During the development phase, Cummins pays particular attention to the design of the panel and is readable in different lighting (purchasing supply).

The C-command connection enhances the ability of Cummins' existing engines, and this throttle shifting system, including third-party systems, also enhances the design of existing boats. Like the Cummins QSB 6.7, QSC 8.3, QSL 9 and QSM 11 marine engine electronic control modules (ECM), the C command connection uses the J1939 communication protocol to access all engine data and error messages.

The system also supports the J1939 and N2K data interfaces, enabling ship operators to use the Cummins ED4 display panel or third-party instrument (purchasing supply) displays for remote monitoring, enabling simultaneous monitoring of multiple engines on multiple panel displays.

The C command quality connection also provides some additional features and monitoring, including a CIB and ED-4 display panel integration, N2K output and alarm (product library purchase supply) display. At the same time, the ship sensor (purchasing supply) capability can also monitor fuel level, oil pressure and temperature, and rudder angle. The panel system has a standard two-year shelf life.
