The FAW Group subsidiary FAW Sihuan Automobile Co., Ltd. announced last week that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Tenneco, and plans to establish a new joint venture company in Changchun to supply exhaust control components and systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
The joint venture company's total investment is 20 million US dollars, of which FAW Sihuan shares 49% of the joint venture company, the United States Tenneco company shares 41%, Tenneco with Thai (Dalian) company shares 10%. The company plans to officially put into production in July this year, when the three parties will put into production in Changchun, automotive exhaust system products, the product will be the FAW Group's market research and development, manufacturing and sales based.
