Although the smart key that can remotely switch the door can lock and unlock the car by wireless communication, it is generally not a waterproof product. The Active Key is a bracelet-type key that is waterproof and impact resistant. The user can leave the remote control key in the car and simply lock and unlock the wristband as it approaches the car.

The Active Key uses the same radio frequency as the remote control key and functions as the "J" letter of the Jaguar logo near the tailgate. Since there is no battery installed inside, there is no need to replace the battery.

When locked, you can leave the smart key in the car and close the door. Then the vehicle will send a 30-second wave to allow the Active Key to function. At this time, the J key of the Active Key close to the tailgate can lock the vehicle, and the danger warning light will flash in order to confirm the lock.

When the lock is unlocked, the user presses the switch button of the tailgate, and the vehicle will send a 30-second electric wave again. The user can unlock the Active Key near the tailgate during this time. When the tailgate's switch button is pressed again, the power door system will open and the tailgate will open.
