Mazda sales growth of 1% in the first half

According to Mazda's announcement, 103,991 vehicles were sold in the first half of the year, an increase of 1% year-on-year. In June, sales were 16,138 units in a single month, down 2% year-on-year.

From the perspective of the sales volume of the two sales networks in the first half of the year, FAW Mazda achieved a total sales of 59,424 units, a year-on-year decrease of 10%; Changan Mazda sold 44,567 units, an increase of 22% year-on-year, setting a new record in the first half of the network sales.

Mazda China Chairman and CEO Yamada Kenzo said: "Mazda's sales volume in the first half of 2012 was affected by the overall downturn in the auto market, but its sales volume increased slightly from last year. In the second half of the year, we introduced the new CX-5 and Mazda2. While the 2012 models of the Mazda6 and Mazda8 will strengthen the product line, they will also increase sales through enhanced sales networks."
